1) Bannon made a comment that his workers were attractive. Lots of attractive guys in tech. So what? They worked hard, late into the night, for an administration in a temporary job. Older men with established careers don’t do temp intern work.
2) And he had a meeting with influencers once? Again, not really revelatory.
3) Gay men have parties, btw, and they invite other gay men. College guys are adults FYI.
4) Finally, you’re doing a bit of sleight of hand. His “much younger” lover was, as you say, 35yo. That’s not much younger and certainly not proof of a pattern of grooming underage boys as you insinuate.
Could be something to the vague allegations you lead with, but you don’t have anything at all here and it’s not a good look.
You're moving the goalposts here and being a bit dishonest with this criticism. Like, I get it if you are a big Thiel guy and any criticism of the man you believe is going to save 'Western civilization' peeves you (there's a lot of people like this, esp on Substack!). However, your reasoning comes off as strained rationalization imo. Nowhere do I claim to have "rock hard" evidence of a crime on Thiel's part, I say as much several times. Nor am I claiming that any of what I present are established 'facts.' It is interesting to me though how you seem to write off Thomas's death as merely 'gays being gays,' as though this kind of thing is just a normal thing that could happen to anyone in spite of it being extraordinarily weird and disturbing (at best!). And 'Lots of attractive guys in tech' come on man, give me a break! One can rationalize away any one particular data point here I think but once you have a critical mass of them a picture begins to be painted. At least that is an argument an intelligent observer could make imo. There is also such a thing as 'preponderance of evidence', even if it is circumstantial currently. Whether such a standard has been reached I leave completely up to the reader, as well as any other conclusions one might draw from such a belief. One could also reject this interpretation and choose to defend Thiel (as you have done!). Choose your own adventure
You couldn’t be more wrong. I am a hardcore Thiel hater. I would love nothing more than for someone to take him down.
That said, no I don’t think the death is by itself very dispositive. People kill themselves! His brother stated he had mental health issues, and he believed it was a suicide.
And yes, I’ve worked in startups and there are plenty of attractive young men. Let’s keep in mind this comment is coming from Steve Bannon who is an absolute ogre of a man, so I’m sure he’s not some great resource for sniffing out what is higher than average attraction level for a given group of young interns. But yeah, young interns are often viewed as attractive to ancient old fat drunk men.
Do you at least acknowledge that his boyfriend wasn’t inappropriately young? A rich man Thiels age dating a 35yo doesn’t raise eyebrows where I live (in reality).
As far as Thiel late boyfriend being 'inappropriately young' I am not particularly interested in the various etiquettes of gay dating. However, it is accurate to note that he was significantly younger than Thiel. Whether one finds this to be inappropriate or not is, again, up to the reader to decide. I am also sorry I can't 'take him down' in a definitive way as you would have liked. But, as I hinted at in the piece, I honestly don't think any kind of sex scandal, even a potentially criminal one, could "take down" Thiel at this point. He is simply too rich and too powerful at this point imo. Also, it is my belief that sometimes in order to get a few coconuts from time to time it is necessary to 'shake the tree' if you follow my meaning here. So, time will tell I think.
Well, sure, but the age gap between Melania and Trump is even more than between Thiel and Thomas.
So surely we can say confidently that this age gap isn’t inappropriate, since the twice elected President of the US has one that is greater with his wife.
As far as the other stuff, I think you’re onto something but this just distracts from it and dilutes your point.
Not really. It definitely has a whiff of the Bryan Singer about it.
I just don’t think him having a 35yo side piece is compelling proof that he’s a rapist. I wasn’t having a moral discussion, in any case, but a fact based one. Does this mean he’s creepy; sure. Is this the smoking gun? I don’t think so.
Neither "rape" nor "rapist" is mentioned in the post. It's about a pederastic culture in Silicon Valley, which we have been led to believe is a hard core "cognitive elite" meritocracy.
Did you read something different than I did? I don’t see any evidence whatsoever of a pederastic culture in Silicon Valley. What evidence do you have ?
You do know that when married ppl have affairs especially when they are long term with 1 other person they can be called boyfriend or girlfriend, right?
That's Retarded. There's a ton here and you're only defending Peter Thiel because you're either in the BAPTard Group Chats or you're a BUTTFAGGOT.
There Is No Ironic Gay. Oh wait! You Read Bari Weiss! She went to Yale with Costin Alamariu and Peter Fucking Thiel! You're A Claremont Institute BUTTFAGGOT!
Death To Peter Thiel! Death to the BUTTFAGGOT Palantiri!
I don’t read Bari. I read a different author there. Not a big fan of Thiel but I was hoping this article would have something more substantive than that he invited someone to a party.
Highly educated, well paid Ivy League graduates are not necessarily “sensitive young men”.
Saying he has “coercive power” is just a different way of saying he is wealthy. In the real world, everyone wealthy hiring someone has “coercive power”. This is a universal truth, so unless there’s something more sinister afoot, with evidence of it, this isn’t an issue.
The term, sensitive men, I took from the article and to the second it’s the basis of sexual harassment, quid pro quo. Thirdly he’s most unattractive and brutish.
Yes, thank you, the article is all innuendo and conjecture. In fact, the article doesn’t mention even one “sensitive young man” specifically, does it?
Ivy League educated tech bros are, generally speaking, not little helpless girls. I think you’re projecting the wrong frame on the situation (as is the article).
Ms.Linda Stevens has a history of accusations like that when it comes to people whose politics she opposes, without any evidence at all. And I doubt she works in the profession of investigation/
Also, according to her, Vance is supposed to be a victim of this:
As for something darker regarding the death of Jeff Thomas, my understanding of the Thomas situation is that up to his death, he still loved Thiel. Yes, he cooperated with Democrats in hope that they could dig out some scandals about Thiel and these Democrats were willing to pay millions for that. They hoped they could drive him out of politics. But he was terribly conflicted about it (he was warning Thiel that Thiel's politics would ultimately harm him).
So my question is, if there was anything abnormal at all, why did Jack Bury not make a big deal out of it?
Thiel has many enemies. Charles Johnson is a former subordinate who has betrayed him. Denton of Gawker (after the Gawker event) publicly threatened to dig out his secrets and use even his most well intended philanthropy against him.
Both are still living. So why Thomas, who has never displayed that kind of behavior?
At the time, the BILD ran a series about this. The BILD was owned by Mathias Döpfner, Thiel's friend mind you. Thiel hated his people talking about his private affairs, but Mathias Döpfner is a very powerful man in his own right - a Bilderberg Steering Committee member like Thiel - and I think his fondness for gossipping overcame him. So according to (unnamed) friend in these articles, Thomas wanted to be more than an affair. Thiel's partner Danzeisen also knew all about it and this kind of drama was a frequent feature of their marriage life.
(Thomas was used to display Thiel's power. Thomas was put in this luxury mansion in LA. Danzeisen and the kids were in Miami, but Danzeisen worked (and still works) for Thiel Capital, which was (and is) in LA. )
So what would be the motivation?
Also the other lover was Thomas's age too. Francesco Lugli, former Palantir strategist and Princeton Research Fellow in Asian Studies, knows Mandarin. Thiel started the relationships with the three of them before marriage, and then hesitated between Lugli and Danzeisen (who is now his main guy for all things Chinese and Asian) for a while, before choosing Danzeisen, a former BlackRock Vice President and also his best friend, and also close to his inner circle (Sam Altman etc). But he "kept" all three, until Lugli could not swallow the situation anymore... Lugli now posts photos with his new boyfriend quite frequently.
It’s a collection of rumors. Ofcourse men have to find courage to speak up, otherwise it seems like they are sleeping their way to the top (and projecting on women).
I wonder if this is why JD made a hard pivot to MAGA, perhaps Thiel took Epstein’s model and applied it to men in Silicon Valley.
There are so many tangent stories and conspiracies about Epstein too. How is this any different?
He never insinuated anything. He started this off saying they are rumors and he posted who were saying the rumors. He did also say that these are not the only people saying the same GENERALLY thing. It is YOU who is making insinuations.
Ok now i've officially lost patience. You insist on your own weird interpretation of things as being facts (Steve Bannon has no ability to discern what constitutes an attractive person despite the fact that he worked in showbiz and politics for years) Also you ignore any other evidence presented (other people said the same thing! etc). Also the constant chemsex parties and weird nature of the relationship itself (Thomas himself describing it as being 'kept' etc which is very weird!) is the actual issue and not his age per se. It is about establishing a pattern of behavior. And now you're going for sanctimonious signaling in addition to the spam.
I don’t think you have anything concrete to stand on. Saying you don’t have evidence to stand on shouldn’t mean you can imply whatever you want without any evidence for it. This post is literally the equivalent of Pizzagate.

"boyfriend"?
Thiel is legally married to Matt Danzeisen and they have, or rather acquired, two children.

You okay? I work in tech. San Francisco is full of attractive tech bros. Sorry not sorry.
Yea. I mean, they're not attractive in some gruff Jason Statham A Working Man kind of way, but I know what you mean. More Paul Rudd
Yes go into any startup and you're likely to see 12 super models writing react
I’m sure there are 12 guys Steve Bannon would think are super models. Remember the source.

you alright, man?

BOT.
Wrong again! Keep On Reaching! I’m not a bot, I’m just faster at typing than you are.
I’m right and you know it. Peter Thiel is a BUTTFAGGOT Jew who should be chucked into the ocean with a millstone around his neck.
Free Harvey!
Not the first time I’ve heard about Thiel. But in his defense, Sam Altman is pretty cute.
Lol, Sam Altman Molested His Sister. You're a BUTTFAGGOT.
No, completely different situation.
Wrong. You're a BUTTFAGGOT.
Also a hilarious take 😂😂😂
Hilarious take
You're so articulate and convincing. I'm sold!
