The so-called dissident sphere’s favorite comedian, Tim Dillion, just committed what for anyone else in the RW world would be an otherwise unforgivable faux pas: confirming that the Thielverse actually does exist. The privilege of the jester, I suppose. Regardless, what he says is absolutely fascinating but is also not at all surprising for anyone who really knows anything about this stuff at all.
Still, it's worth posting the video and discussing it a little bit here, in what will be only a short digression, as otherwise it could end up being the kind of episode that is quickly memory-holed and forgotten.
I can't trust you. If you don't have any reservations about Palantir taking everyone's information, I, I don't know. I can't, I don't know if I can trust you. I don't. I think they're buying people left and right. This is my guess. They try to buy me. My pussy costs a lot of money. I get invited to these dinners. I don't go, I've been invited to Thiel's House multiple times for dinner. I don't go. It's no shade at at them or whatever, you know. The reason I don't go is I know I remember one dinner, they're like, we'd like to discuss the media. I go, what? No thanks. We'd like to discuss a dinner. We'd discuss the media and culture. No thanks. Appreciate it. Appreciate it. That's fine. Don't, don't need a ‘Here's what I'm doing.’ Every week I'm discussing the media. Hey, good news. I have a show. I have a show. You can listen to it. You can listen to it if you are curious about, but I've been to some of these places. I've sat in these houses in Austin with these tech people and I know what they want and I know what they want me to go out and cheerlead for and say, well, it's actually a great idea. And there's probably a lot of money in it. There's probably a lot of money and I just can't do it. It's not because I'm some great moral person…So my prediction, and I'm not, I don't wanna name names 'cause I don't know, but my prediction is you're gonna see a lot of people over the next six months, start thinking this list's a great idea. They're gonna start telling you how great this is and how it's about terrorism. That's the one that'll start going well. It's the terror.
Now again, Tim is saying nothing that isn’t stupidly obvious. Yes, the Thielverse actively recruits and cultivates talent at a variety of different levels, and yes, it is very interested in pushing particular narratives, especially narratives that cohere well with Thiel’s operating philosophy and/or the financial interests of Palantir (where a significant amount of Thiel’s current fortune originates).
None of this is particularly crazy or controversial, aside for, I guess, that small minority still committed to full Thielverse denialism. This group is an ever-shrinking one, however, being now limited to oblivious types without actual connections to the people involved in this. The new line, especially among Thiel’s ‘dissident’ influencers, is a Thieloid version of the ‘Law of Merited Impossibility.’ Which goes something like this:
“The Thielverse is a paranoid conspiracy theory.”
”Ok it’s real, but it’s actually really small scale and not at all how people portray it.”
“Ok, ok, it’s real and basically how they portray it, but it’s actually good.”
As Dillion appears to imply, the Thieloids are eager to use their influencers to actively push an uncritically pro-Israeli and pro-Palantir line. None of this is particularly surprising. Both are issues that are more or less non-negotiable in the Thielverse; you either back them uncritically or prepare to be cast out.
The reasons for this are obvious. The Thielverse, largely through Palantir (though not exclusively), has extensive and quite lucrative contracts with the Israelis. Something that has actually been relatively well documented and that you can read about in depth in other places quite easily.
However, profit motive is not really the exclusive or even really the most important reason for this. Israel is just as important ideologically to the Thielverse (and thus to Gay Space Fascism) as it is financially.
One can see this quite clearly in much of the sphere’s pro-Israeli propaganda, which is very much the opposite of traditional liberal variations of the same type of propaganda.
Opposed to the old libtardisms, which emphasized Israel’s status as the ultimate historical victim (thus giving it carte blanche to do whatever they have to in order to ‘defend themselves’), the new Thieloid line is that Israel is rather the ultimate macho victimizer. A ‘based’ high-IQ ethnostate locked in an existential struggle with the brown, subhuman hordes of the global south, a model that should be emulated by rightists in the United States. The exact framing that is pushed by the entire Thieloid project (at least its outward, exoteric face).
The same tack is also taken with Palantir, which is likewise ‘based’ (so we are told by Thieloid influencers) because they are actively using their tech to hunt down leftist rioters and illegals. Threats so dire and so inherently existential to Western civilization that they may require certain traditional civil liberties and protections (such as the right to privacy) to be heavily curtailed or abolished entirely. After all, the Constitution is just a piece of paper that hasn’t been meaningful since the time the Civil Rights Act was enacted.
Of course, usually unmentioned in this line of thought is the way in which Palantir’s continued rise (and the massive amounts of cash flowing to it via new government contracts issued by the Trump administration) allows Thiel and his co-conspirators (such as Alex Karp) to solidify their power and influence in the long run. Making them indispensable for any future administrations, even including ones run by Democrats, and keeping the free cash pipeline flowing to them indefinitely.
In this sense they are setting themselves up to be oligarchs in the Eastern European sense of the term. Individuals whose immense wealth allows them to actually have, in many ways, more influence than their actual elected head of state. A position from which they can never be voted out and on whose power there is no meaningful check.
In any case, Dillon’s little admission was fascinating. We shall see in due course if anyone else has the courage to emerge with similar claims.
Thank you for another perceptive article.
An old Thai proverb says, “When elephants fight, the grass suffers. But when elephants make love, the grass also suffers.”
This used to be a guide for all the “Third World” countries caught between the First World of the US Corporate State, the CIA and military, and American allies in the “Free World” and the Second World of Soviet and Chinese Communist States and their allies in the “Socialist” world.
The Thai proverb now seems germane to us Third Americans not aligned with the billionaire authoritarian Thielverse-Israel axis or the billionaire authoritarian Woke-Israel axis. Just as CIA-sponsored Color Revolutions have come home to America, Fascism with a National face on the Right or a Socialist face on the Left has come home to America as the billionaires take over the Republic and impose 21st century AI-powered and drone-enforced Israeli-directed National Socialism.
Is there a strategy that makes sense and has any hope of success for us Third Americans?
God I love TD. Reading his quote here has me thinking the shit going on in LA by no means has to be George Soros back from the dead, but rather Peter F’ing Thiel and his ilk funding and pushing the riots.
Now I will certainly drop anyone I listen to and follow if they start even hinting at approval on a nationwide database. I’m no dummy, I’m sure I would have anyway, but reading TD’s quote clarified it for me greatly.
