Why the Libs Can't Save You From Curtis Yarvin
On the True Significance of Thiel's Favorite Propagandist...
If you talk to him in person, he will explain this to you at length and in great detail. Also there is a good chance, if you engage in even a minimal amount of flattery, he will imply that you too are special, not unlike himself in fact! He might even extend this further and say that you are also what he believes himself to be: a member of the ‘elite,’ but not just any elite, an elite within an elite! A ‘dark elf,’ one might even say! Someone who went to say…Brown (a fact which can’t be emphasized enough), so as to be very, very smart and schooled in the ways of the coastal elites but also enlightened and interesting enough to be a bit bad, a bit out of control even, to be a rebel who wears a leather jacket and maybe even indulges in a bit of racism now and then.
Curtis’s comically unself-aware narcissism aside, there is a deeper and more interesting point here, I think, and it’s worth emphasizing and reiterating, as it ties in to one of the foundational aspects of what we here call ‘Gay Space Fascism.’
Curtis has written many, many words, well into the tens of millions. His work is sometimes interesting, sometimes amusing, but overall it’s mostly nonsense. Put another way: his corpus is far less than the sum of its parts. I had originally intended on writing something approaching a comprehensive profile of Yarvin and his work; however, I then quickly thought better of it, as I just don’t find it that interesting at this point and, in all probability, neither do you.
What matters now is pinpointing and explaining the ideas (or, as I will contend, the ‘idea’) that have actually been meaningfully influential from his corpus. Sure, there is ‘neocameralism,’ ‘the Cathedral,’ and ‘RAGE,’ the latter two actually having some genuine semblance of influence on the real world (which, tbf, is a lot more than most mid-aughts bloggers can claim) even if ‘the Cathedral’ merely became another term for ‘The Libs’ and ‘RAGE’ turned out to be a comical disaster in practice via Elon Musk’s ill-fated DOGE project. But aside from these ideas, which are now little more than worn-out meme concepts that last felt genuinely new and relevant about 10 years ago, little from the ‘unqualified reservations’ era of Yarvin’s work has any impact today.
Rather, it is Curtis’s latest incarnation as an ‘out’ public activist for GSF and more general Thielism that is actually producing the more lasting impact. This reemergence has been aided by the fact that he now has access to a significant network of Thiel-aligned allies in new media who have helped him spread his ideas and raise his prominence to the point that he is now directly pitching to the listeners of New York Times podcasts and speaking at events at Harvard.
In this new incarnation Curtis, naturally, still spouts a lot of drivel and nonsense; however, he also has been hitting an important note over and over again, in the process helping to defend an indispensable pillar of the mythos of Gay Space Fascism. Namely, a fixation with advocating for the establishment of a novel kind of caste system in the United States.
Now, to be fair, this kind of system is not really a new idea; it has existed for hundreds and hundreds of years in places like the Indian subcontinent. However, it is quite strange for anywhere in Europe or the United States, with the notable exception of Black chattel slavery in the Americas (and the Jim Crow era that followed it) in the 17th-20th centuries.
The idea is simple: according to Curtis there are different sorts, really ‘castes,’ of people. And the differences between them, contra the claims of liberal universalism, are significant, significant enough that it would be not just unwise but, in a certain sense, even evil to force them to live, not just in the same neighborhoods or to have their children attend the same schools, but even for them to live by the same laws.
And the these distinctions aren’t merely manifestations of pure racism, which is something both liberals and many white nationalists consistently fail to understand about Gay Space Fascism.
The thing about IQ and other similar sorts of fashionable metrics is that there is far more distance within groups than between them. This is one of the things that makes the modern white nationalist obsession with IQ so strange and inherently clownish, as it ignores the fact that successful ‘high IQ’ individuals ultimately have more in common with other successful ‘high IQ’ individuals of various races than they do with low IQ members of their own race (I will have to circle back and do a deep dive on Thiel-aligned White nationalists sometime in the future, as they are one of the more buffoonish yet also contemptible factions in the greater GSF coalition).
Simply put, Yarvin (and Thieloids in general) is less concerned with the distinction between black, white, and brown than he is between ‘high and low,’ between those who are ‘natural aristocrats’ by nature (for which IQ is a handy yardstick) and the helot classes or ‘natural slaves.’ And while due to inevitable statistical distributions, meaning that elites (who should be entitled to the natural rights of elites) will be produced by most groups, the differences between groups on average are significant enough that many, at least in Yarvin’s ideal state, would be governed by entirely different laws. As he explained during a discussion with The New Yorker:
“Unless we can totally reengineer DNA to change what a human being is, there are many people who should not live in a modern way but in a traditional way,” Yarvin said. “And that is a level of revolution that is so far beyond anything the Trump-Vance regime is doing.”
Here Yarvin, consciously or not, is echoing Guillaume Faye, whom I discussed in the original primer on Gay Space Fascism. To refresh, Faye articulates a new world (in his mind a utopia) in which the majority of humanity (say 90 percent or so) lives in a state of controlled primitivism, only ever being allowed to reach the technological level of, say, the Amish. While this means that they succumb to death and disease much sooner than most modern humans, it also allows them to live in a high-trust, non-atomized society, which will inevitably provide them with significantly more existential succor and personal fulfillment overall, or so Faye would argue at least. Meanwhile, the top five or ten percent of the population would live ensconced in high-tech pleasure cities, walled off from the rest of humanity and entirely free to pursue their Faustian destinies, however perverse or despicable they may seem to those of the old morality.
Essentially this is also what Yarvin desires, as can be deduced from numerous public statements and writings in which he says as much. The best example of this is obviously likely his infamous ‘biodiesel’ blog post in which he states that, in an ideal world, it would of course be ideal to turn the lower classes into ‘biodiesel’ however seeing as it would be a political nonstarter it would be necessary to discover a “humane alternative to genocide.”
“A virtualized human is in permanent solitary confinement, waxed like a bee larva into a cell which is sealed except for emergencies.” Yarvin suggests “This would drive him insane, except that the cell contains an immersive virtual-reality interface which allows him to experience a rich, fulfilling life in a completely imaginary world.”
He continues:
I don’t think there is any scenario under which San Francisco is burdened with more than a few thousand wards. Many other regions of the earth, however, contain large numbers of human beings whose existence may well prove an unequivocal liability to the owners of any ground on which they would reside. If so, they can be virtualized, creating giant human Wachowski honeycombs of former bezonians, whose shantytowns can be cleared and redeveloped as villas for retired oil-company executives.
In addition, I should add he also explained this to me in depth once in person, so it’s not exactly something he’s too shy about advertising.
This view also closely mirrors that of his good friend Costin Alamariu, who teaches that freedom can only be experienced by a small aristocracy of masters, for it is only such higher beings for whom philosophy, freedom, and ultimately consciousness itself have any real value.
Though Yarvin himself lacks the intelligence and eloquence to argue this case in the same manner as Alamariu, his body of work along with repeated explicit statements in this regard show he obviously agrees with this assessment even if his understanding of it would be highly reductive in comparison to Alamariu’s.
In place of Costin’s vision of a modern-day Alcibiades, a cunning and beautiful beast overflowing with daring and unapologetic zest for life and domination, Yarvin proffers the vision of a new ruling caste of meritocratic bugmen. In this sense he is merely extending the internal logic of post-war neoliberalism to its necessary endpoint.
This vision constitutes Yarvin’s ‘scam” (for which he has always been the first mark), the idea that such individuals constitute a neo-aristocracy destined to come to power, in the process granting them the prestige and recognition they feel has been unjustly denied them under the current liberal system.
It is this same scam that he hawks to his impressed (or simply bewildered) listeners during his regular social junkets in Dimes Square, D.C., and the Bay Area. It is a delusion that even a child could see through, yet it is also one that has allowed Yarvin, in large part of course due to his close connection with Thiel and his network, to flourish and gain the notoriety and microcelebrity status he so obviously covets.
It is also this vision that Thiel finds most valuable about his ‘thought,’ the concept of a caste of individuals biologically destined to rule, and one not cluttered and weighed down by the archaic obligations and traditions of the European aristocracy of old. Traditions and obligations, largely Christian in origin, which prevented the natural nobility from achieving its true telos, that of predator and unapologetic exploiter of the weak. Whereas the European ancien regime, originally wolves, had slowly degenerated into sheepdogs under the weight of Christian slave morality, the neo-aristocracy of the 21st century will be allowed to properly fulfill itself and ‘become what it is’: a vampire elite.
Most tantalizing of all is that new technology, the kind now eagerly funded and promoted by Thiel and his network, will, at least in theory, allow for the active cultivation of desirable traits in this new biological caste. An endeavor no longer subject to the whims of chance and misfortune, which had hamstrung previous ruling classes who so often ended up falling victim to the vagaries of natural reproduction.
As Yarvin let slip only a few days ago during a debate with British historian David Starkey, “Now there are flaws in hereditary monarchy certainly as well. I would note that a lot of the problems historically in hereditary monarchy came through, uh, the vagaries of biological inheritance, and, uh, we now have, um, the ability to, uh, create as many babies as we want, uh, you know, essentially, and even to IQ test them before they’re born. Um, we can IQ test embryos now, uh, which is insane, and, um, it’s a pity it wasn’t available slightly earlier in the English succession.”
This is the crux, the beginning and the end of Gay Space Fascism as such. And it is only to the extent that Yarvin promotes this concept, in the process serving Thiel’s greater purpose, that he is significant at all.
And it is here that we must now confront a truly disquieting realization: there is nothing in the liberal tradition capable of truly combating Yarvin (who is merely a stand-in here for Thiel himself) on this point, as the conclusions he draws naturally flow out of the internal logic of classic meritocratic liberalism itself.
After all, what is really the difference between the support of rule by unelected ‘experts’ in a liberal bureaucratic state and the rule of a genetically superior caste of human beings bred and raised to be rulers? You wouldn’t want an unqualified person flying an airplane for you or performing an operation on you, so why would you then allow them to write your laws? In a not dissimilar vein, once genetic manipulation is allowed to enter into a meritocratic system, does this not inevitably lead to it becoming an aristocracy of sorts, barring some kind of radical communist takeover? As now not only will winners of the meritocratic rat race pass wealth on to their children, a fact that was already a source of discontent, but now they will also be able to ensure their children also have superior genes to boot all but ensuring their continued reign atop the social pyramid.
In this sense they are merely ‘completing the system’ of liberal meritocracy, and in this way GSF is not necessarily a pure negation of liberalism’s highest ambitions and conceits but, in a very peculiar wary, rather a kind of fulfillment of them (it should be noted that there was a reason the most earnest of early 20th-century American eugenicists were all dyed-in-the-wool progressives).
The advent of this age’s new powerful and inherently foul genetic technology has now forced the question that before was allowed to lie dormant. And those of us wishing to remain human will have to look toward other traditions, mostly forgotten, if we are to have half a chance of answering it before it is too late.
Traditions, as it happens, that have extremely clear instructions when it comes to dealing with vampires. And prescribe as cure, not the giving of interviews…but the driving of stakes through hearts.

If this is true then Yarvin's writings are just a lot of words to say: "I, Curtis, and my buddies get to enjoy the Epstein Island Battle Pass and the rest of you lesser beings get to be our goyim." How is that different from what we have now?
His computer language is the silliest thing I have ever seen. His agenda is mostly the World Economic Forum agenda with right wing language. I went with "Rules for Reactionaries" as a might makes right challenge.
He is correct in his thesis that the decline of Mainstream Protestantism is the root of the decline of the US.
